CD95325 Covent Garden /Prom ring 2005-6
Hi everyone I thought it was about time this ring was reloaded. - Terfel's first Wotan I think. These are BBC radio broadcasts, (the TV broadcasts are no longer available either). So far as I know Walkure did not receive a radio broadcast from the ROH, only the Prom version. I am happy to be corrected if I am wrong! The bit rates are variable - I recorded Rheingold and Walkure from the BBC digital radio stream, which then was at 192kps. Siegfried is a reload from an OS upload at 128kps stereo. Gotterdammerung is from OS at 320kps. I have partial opening announcements for Rheingold, but not closing announcements. Fairly complete announcements for Walkure, but none at all for Siegfried or GD - if anyone has more complete versions I would be very grateful for an upload. All the music is present in these files.
