Sechzig Jahre ist es her als der damals 20-jährige Nello Santi am Teatro Verdi in Padua erstmals öffentlich eine Oper dirigierte: «Rigoletto».
Und mit seinem «Rigoletto» begeistert er auch heute noch, gerade in Zürich, wo er seit fünfzig Jahren arbeitet und wo er fast zum Synonym für italienische Oper geworden ist.
