DVD93678 Bryn Terfel Faenol Festival concerts 2004+2005
The celebrated Welsh bass-baritone Bryn Terfel established a summer festival
concert series at an open-air site in North Wales, near the Menai Bridgle to
Anglesey. These concerts were televised in highlight form on Welsh TV channel
S4C. His guests were top-rank colleagues from the opera stage, mainly.
The series came to an end, partly perhaps from a loss of subsidy, partly also
perhaps due to the fact that the weather nearly always seemed to be wet and
windy. You will see this in the concerts I have recorded. One doesn't know
whether to be sorry more for the singers than the audience or vice-versa. I know
on the occasion I visited I was very wet and cold .
In this message I am offering the concerts from 2004 and 2005.! Since the
introductions are in Welsh this will be a splendid opportunity to polish up your
linguistic skills.
Best wishes

sound until the problems in the 2005 concert. You need to rejoin the files using
HJsplit or similar. If you need to convert to DVD format, I used Freemake Video
Converter to produce the .avi files, and it will do the reverse.
